    Cream Scones

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    4 tablespoons butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 cup cream

    Recipe



    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Lightly butter a cookie sheet. Mix the first four ingredients in a large bowl. Work in the butter with fingers or a pastry blender till mixture resembles coarse corn meal. Add the eggs and cream and stir till blended. Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead for about a minute. Pat or roll the dough about 3/4 inch thick and cut into 12 wedges. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Makes 12 scones.
