    CREAM CHEESE BAR COOKIES

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup margarine, softened
    1 cup Bisquick
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    8 ounce cream cheese, softened
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    2 teaspoon milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 egg

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8x8x2 inche pan. Beat brown sugar and margarine until fluffy. Stir in Bisquick and walnuts until mixture is crumbly, reserve one cup. Press remaining mixture in pan. Bake 12 minutes. Mix cream cheese and sugar; beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread cream cheese mixture over layer in pan; sprinkle with reserved crumbly mixture. Bake until center is firm, about 25 minutes. Cut into 2-inch squares. Store cookies in refrigerator. 16 cookies.
