Grilled Rueban Sandwich
List of Ingredients
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon catsup
1 tablespoon horseradish
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 slices dark rye bread
3/4 pound sliced corned beef
1 cup sauerkrauet
4 slices (4 ounces) Gruyere or other Swiss cheese
2 tablespoons butteRecipe
Combine fist 5 ingredients. Spread this sauce on bread. Layer the corned beef and sauerkraut on 4 slices of the bread, and top with the cheese. Cover with the remaining bread, and spread with 1 tablespoon butter in a large nonstick fry pan over medium heat. Add sandwiches, unbutterd side down, and fry till golden, about 5 minutes on each side. Turn and brown the other side. Serves 4.
