Onion-Crusted Steak
List of Ingredients
1 can (2.8 ounces) french-fried onions
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 boneless rib eye, strip, or sirloin beef steaks** (1/4-1/2 pounds each)
2 tablespoons vegetable oilRecipe
Preheat broiler. In a blender or food prcessor or by hand crush onions to make crumbs. In a small bowl, combine the onion crumbs, salt, paprika, and garlic powder;mix well. Brush steak with oil, then coat with onion crumb mix. Place steaks on rack of broiler pan and broil 5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and broil 5 more minutes, or till cooked as you prefer.
**NOTE- The onion coating works just as well on pork chops.
