    Ballerina Cake

    Party guests will twirl at the sight of this ballerina, dressed in a cotton candy tutu. Take note: The cake is big enough to feed an entire dance troupe.

    1 baked 12-inch round cake
    1 baked 13- by 9- by 2-inch cake
    16 Twinkies
    6 cups pink frosting
    6 cups chocolate frosting
    Chocolate jimmies
    2 brown candies
    1 orange gumdrop
    2 pink Necco wafers
    1 red fruit slice, cut into a smile
    Candy necklace
    3 small bags pink cotton candy
    Red shoestring licorice

    Recipe



    Step 1
    To form the body and head of the ballerina, cut and arrange the cakes as pictured. Arrange the Twinkie legs as shown, trimming them if necessary.

    Step 2
    Frost the leotard and the two Twinkie shoes pink. Frost the head, arms, and legs of the ballerina with chocolate icing.

    Step 3
    Sprinkle jimmies for the hair. Add the two brown candies for eyes, the gumdrop for a nose, the Necco wafers for rouge, and the fruit slice for a smile. String a candy necklace around the ballerina's neck and fluff the cotton candy for her tutu. Finally, tie red shoestring licorice on her ballet slippers.
