    Decorator Icing

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup Crisco
    1/2 cup butter or margarine (I use 1 cup Crisco for pure white icing)
    1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
    4 cups sifted confectioners sugar (about 1 pound)
    2 Tablespoon milk (I use water. That way I don't have to worry about milk souring if not refrigerated)

    Recipe



    Cream butter and Crisco with electric mixer till light and fluffy. If just using Crisco, whip it till fluffy. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, 1 cup at a time. Scrape sides often. When all is mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk (or water) and beat till light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).

    YIELD: 3 cups

    **Add 3-4 Tbs light corn syrup per recipe to thin for icing.
