    Two-Tone Cookies

    List of Ingredients




    6 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 egg
    1/2 cup sour cream
    1 1/4 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 cup chopped walnuts
    1 ounce square unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled

    Recipe



    Cream first 4 ingredients. Add egg; beat till fluffy. Stir in sour cream. Stir together flour salt and soda. Gradually mix into creamed mixture; stir in nuts. Divide dough in half; stir chocolate into one portion. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of chocolate dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of plain dough next to chocolate mounds. (They will bake together as one.) If desired, press a walnut half atop each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Cool on rack. Makes 1 1/2 to 2 dozen.
