    German Mustard

    List of Ingredients




    1/3 cup whole mustard seed
    1/3 cup dry mustard
    2/3 cup water/divided
    1 cup cider vinegar
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 tablespoon flour
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
    1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
    3 Tablespoons corn syrup

    Recipe



    In small bowl combine mustard seed, 1/3 cup boilling water. In another bowl mix dry mustard with 1/3 cup warm water. Set both aside 10 minutes.

    In saucepan combine remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered for 5 minutes.

    Place vinegar mixture nad mustard mixtures in a blender and blend at high speed, scraping down sides occasionally, until mustard seed is crushed.

    Pour into container with tight fitting lid and refrigerate.
