Peppermint Pie
List of Ingredients
2 packages (4 serving boxes) vanilla instant pudding
1 1/4 cups cold milk
3 drops peppermint oil
3 drops of red food coloring
3/4 cup peppermint candy canes, crushed
1 baked 9 inch pie shell
2 1/2 cups thawed Cool WhipRecipe
Mix both packages of pudding mix with cold milk, add peppermint oil and food coloring. Put half of the pudding mixture in the prepared pie shell. Sprinkle peppermint candy evenly over pudding mixture.
In a large bowl fold the Cool Whip into the remaining pudding mixture till thoroughly combined. Spread evenly over the peppermint candy. Refrigerate for 4 hours or till set. Just before serving; place 2 small candy canes in an x with a sprig of mint in the middle for decoration.
