    Tidewater Peanut Pie

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 cup creamy
    1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup packed light brown sugar
    3 eggs
    2 tablespoons flour
    1/3 cup light corn syrup
    1/3 cup evaporated milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    pinch of salt
    1 partially baked 9 inch pie shell

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt peanut butter and butter in heavy small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Remove mixture form heat. Combine sugar, brown sugar, eggs, flour, corn syrup, milk, vanilla and salt in large bowl and mix well. Blend in peanut butter mixture. Pour filling into pie shell.

    Bake until filling is puffed, about 1 hour and 20 minutes; filling willl still be quite soft. Let pie cool to room temperature before slicing and serving. Serves 6-8
