Sausage Pizza Quiche
List of Ingredients
3 eggs
3/4 cup grated Cheddar chese
1/4 cup diced and seeded tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup sausage, browned and drained, and cooled to room temperature
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup onion, diced
1/4 cup sweet bell pepper, diced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 unbaked deep dish pie shellRecipe
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl beat eggs. Add salt and milk; mix well. Stir in onion, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and sausage. Layer half the cheese in the bottom of the pie shell, pour egg mixture into pie shell, sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. (Place a cookie sheet or pizza pan under the pie pan in case of spills.)
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then lower the oven temperature to 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes, till slightly browned. Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serves 4-6.
