    Paprika Chicken

    List of Ingredients




    4 1/2 pounds broiler-fryers, cut up
    1/3 cup flour
    3/4 tablespoon salt
    1 tablespoon paprika
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    2 or 3 chicken bouillon cubes
    2 1/2 -3 cups hot water
    1 cup sour cream

    Recipe



    Mix flour, salt paprika and pepper in plastic bag. Thoroughly coat chicken with mixture. Place oil in heavy skillet, place coated pieces of chicken in skillet. Brown chicken for 15 minutes. Dust any remaining flour mixture over chicken. Add onion.

    Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water; add 1/2 cup to chicken in pan. (Add more as needed.) Cover and simmer over low heat 30-40 minutes, or till tender. Remove to serving platter. Add remaining bouillon and sour cream (add 1/2 cup more sour cream for extra lusciousness) to pan drippings. Stir well; heat, but do not boil. Pour over chicken. Makes 6-8 servings.
