List of Ingredients
- 1/4 cup honey or fructose (honey at room temp.)
- 1/2 cup milk or heavy cream, warmed to mix with honey
- 1 large egg
- 1-1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 cups white unbleached flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup raisins
Instructions
- Mix honey, milk, egg, and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients. Cut in butter until nice and crumbly. Add raisins.
- Gently mix the dry ingrdients with the liquid. Do not over-handle scone dough. Place dough on a lightly floured surface. Pat to a 1/2" thickness. Cut with a 2 1/2" round cookie cutter. Place on greased pan.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 13-15 minutes.
