    2 tbs. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    dash pepper
    1 1/2 lbs. stew meat
    2 tbs. shortening

    2 10.5 oz. cans tomato soup
    2 soup cans water
    1 chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. basil
    4 medium potatoes peeled and cubed
    4 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
    1/2 cup water


    Recipe



    Coat stew meat with flour, salt and pepper. In large oven safe pot brown meat in shortening. Add soup, water, basil, potatoes and carrots. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 2 hours.
