Two Cups sugar
One quarter cup water
One and one half cup white Karo Syrup
Two cups salted peanuts
Two to two and a half cups peanut butter
One half teaspoon vanilla
One and a half teaspoons baking soda
Recipe
Combine sugar and water in heavy saucepan. Bring mix to a full rolling boil over high heat. Stir constantly. Stir in corn syrup. Cook to hard crack stage, about three hundred degrees. Mix peanuts, peanut butter and vanilla together and have ready to dump into syrup when it reaches crack stage. Remove syrup from heat and add peanut mix at once. Stir and beat very quickly, and very well. Stir in soda and mix very well. Quickly spread onto buttered cookie sheet, spreading out with fork and hands. Work quickly as it sets up fast! Break into bite size pieces when cool.
