    I make this at Christmas.It makes a nice gift,given in a tin or pretty jar.It is very quick and easy to make.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 stick margarine
    • 3/4 cup(packed) brown sugar
    • chocolate for dipping


    Instructions


    1. In heavy saucepan, melt margarine and brown sugar and bring to boil over medium heat.Cook,stirring constantly, for seven minutes.Pour out on buttered cookie sheet.Let stand until toffee is cool and hard. Break into peices.
    2. Melt chocolate.Dip each peice and set on wax paper to set. Store in covered container in cool place.


    Final Comments


    Do not try to double this recipe. The results are not pleasing! If a double batch is desired,just make it twice.
