Cranberry Dessert Squares




List of Ingredients



• 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  
• 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons flour
  
• 3 tablespoons sugar
  
• 2 cups cranberries, finely chopped
  
• 2/3 cup sugar
  
• 1/2 cup pecans
  
• 2 eggs, beaten
  
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  






Instructions



1. Beat together butter, 3/4 cup flour and 3 tablespoons sugar until soft dough forms. Press into greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 350 degrees 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
   
2. Stir together 2 tablespoons flour and remaining ingredients until combined. Pour over hot crust. Continue baking about 35 minutes or until center is firm. Remove to wire rack; cool completely. Sprinkle sprinkle with powdered sugar or serve with whipped cream, if desired.
