    Spicy Herbed-Grilled Salmon Steaks

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup basil leaves
    • 1/3 cup mint leaves
    • 3 tablespoons minced seeded jalapeno
    • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
    • 2 1/2 teaspoons minced peeled fresh ginger
    • 1 teaspoon sugar
    • 2 teaspoons fish sauce
    • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
    • 4 (6-ounce) salmon steaks, about 1 inch thick
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    • cooking spray
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil
    • 4 lime wedges


    Instructions


    1. Prepare grill.
    2. Combine the first 8 ingredients in a blender or food processor, and process until smooth. Set aside. Sprinkle salmon with salt and pepper. Place the fish on a grill coated with cooking spray, and grill for 5 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Spoon sauce over fish, and garnish with chopped basil and lime wedges.
