    SLOW COOKED PULLED PORK

    Source of Recipe

    Cool

    List of Ingredients

4# pork shoulder / butt - visible fat removed
    1/4 c. water
1 med. onion - coarsely chopped
    1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
    1/4 c. light (mild) molasses
    2 T. sweet paprika
    2 T. spicy brown mustard
    2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. red ground (cayenne) pepper *adds heat
1 tsp. finely ground black pepper
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. Liquid Smoke flavoring
    16 med. soft buns
    creamy coleslaw

    Recipe

Have the butcher cut the pork into 4 pieces and trim all visible fat. Combine
    all ingredients
(except pork). In a 4-5 quart crock pot place the pieces of pork. Pour sauce
    over; toss to
coat. Cover and cook with lid on for 8-10 hours (overnight) until it is very
    tender and
falling apart. Remove meat from pot, cool and pull apart with fingers or forks.
    Put meat
back into crock pot and keep warm until ready to serve. Note: *optional, for a
    thicker
sauce, at this point, you may add 1/2 C ketchup and 1/2 C of your favorite BBQ
    sauce. For
a true southern pulled pork sandwich serve on a bun topped with creamy coleslaw.

    **Freezes well.
