A Picinic for 300: (based on the USDA�s �Planning Food for Institutions� handbook) You�ll probably be safe in preparing 150 hamburgers and 200 hot dogs. If you�re buying prepared hamburger patties, the box count will be easy to calculate. If you�re making your own patties, plan on using about 53 pounds of ground beef.
You�ll also need 12 gallons of potato salad, 7 1/2 gallons of beans, about a gallon each of mustard and mayonnaise and 18 gallons of lemonade or tea. If you want lettuce and tomatoes, you�ll need about 10 heads of lettuce and 30-40 tomatoes.Recipe
