    Ranch Granola

    List of Ingredients





    3 cups quick or old-fashioned oats, uncooked

    1/2 cup almonds

    1/2 cup cashews

    1/2 cup flaked coconut

    1/3 cup sunflower seeds

    1/3 cup wheat germ

    Grated zest (orange color) from 1 orange (about 1 tablespoon)

    1 teaspoon corn oil

    3 tablespoons butter

    2 tablespoons honey

    2 tablespoons maple syrup

    1 cup assorted chopped dried fruit such as apricots and dates


    Preparation
    Place oats in a 2-quart rectangular glass dish and microwave on high 3 minutes. Stir in almonds, cashews, coconut, sunflower seeds, wheat germ, orange zest and oil.

    In a 1-cup glass measure, combine butter, honey and syrup. Microwave onhigh 45 seconds or until butter melts. Drizzle over dry ingredients; toss to coat evenly. Stirring twice during cooking, microwave on high4 1/2 to 5 minutes. Add dried fruit. Stirring once, microwave on high 2 minutes. Cool and store in an air-tight container.
