    1 8 oz. cream cheese
    1 egg
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons milk
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
    1 can Chocolate Fudge Frosting
    1 can Cherry pie filling

    Combine cream cheese, 1 egg and 1/4 cup sugar in a bowl and mix until smooth. Gradually add 3 tablespoons of milk, 2 tablespoons butter, and 1 tablespoon cornstarch and vanilla, beating well. Set aside.

    Mix chocolate cake batter as directed on package. Spread half of chocolate batter in a greased oven. Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly over chocolate batter, then top with remaining half of chocolate batter. Bake about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool then spread frosting over cake and top with cherry pie filling.
