    TEXAS CHICKEN AND DUMPLING

    List of Ingredients





    2 cut up broilers, cooked in water to cover until falling off the bone.
    Drain the chicken, remove all bones and skin reserving the water. To the broth add 2 chicken bouillon cubes, 2 Tablespoons rosemary, 1/4 th cup parsley flakes, 1 chopped onion, and 2 garlic cloves, chopped finely.
    Remove one cup of the broth and mix with two Tablespoons flour until a smooth paste is formed. Add this gently to the broth until it gets a bit "heavy" or thick. Add the chicken. Cut up one large package of flour tortillas into strips. Drop the strips into the broth that you have brought to a boil. Add the chicken. Now, pour into the broth 1/2 pint of heavy cream. If it is not thick enough, repeat the flour and broth trick until it gets thick enough to your liking. The best dumplings you will ever eat!!
