APPLE ROLL UPS
List of Ingredients
- 2 CUPS PLAIN FLOUR
- 2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 2/3 CUP SHORTENING
- 1/2 CUP MILK
- 3 TO 4 CUPS CHOPPED APPLES MIXED WITH 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- 1 STICK BUTTER MELTED
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
- 2 CUPS WATER
Instructions
- COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT, SHORTENING AND MILK, MIXING WELL TO COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS. ON A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE, ROLL DOUGH OUT INTO A RECTANGLE.
- SPRINKLE WITH APPLE/CINNAMON MIXTURE. ROLL UP JELLY ROLL FASHION AND CUT INTO SLICES. SET ASIDE.
- POUR MELTED BUTTER IN A 9 X 13" BAKING PAN. CAREFULLY PLACE SLICE ON TOP OF BUTTER. SET ASDIE.
- IN A SMALL SAUCE POT, COMBINE 2 CUPS SUGAR AND 2 CUPS WATER, COOK UNTIL SUGAR IS DISOLVED AND POUR OVER SLICES.
- BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350° OVEN FOR 55 MINUTES.
