    BUTTERY CARAMEL ROLLS


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/3 CUP BUTTER
    • 1/3 CUP FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
    • 1 TABLESPOON WATER
    • 2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 2 1/2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
    • 1 TEASPOON SALT
    • 2/3 CUPS MILK
    • 1/3 CUP FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
    • 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
    • 1/3 CUP CHOPPED PECANS


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 425°.
    2. MELT BUTTER IN A 9" SQUARE BAKING PAN, STIR IN 1/3 CUP OF BROWN SUGAR AND WATER, MIXING WELL. SET ASIDE.
    3. IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL, COMBINE FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT. ADD MILK ALL AT ONCE, STIRRING JUST UNTIL DRY INGREDIENTS ARE MOISTENED. TURN OUT ONTO WELL FLOURED SURFACE.
    4. ROLL OUT TO A 12 X 10" RECTANGLE.
    5. COMBINE 1/3 CUP BROWN SUGAR, CINNAMON AND PECANS. SPRINKLE OVER DOUGH. ROLL UP STARTING WITH 12" SIDE. CUT INTO 1" SLICES, PLACE CUT SIDE DOWN IN PREPARED PAN.
    6. BAKE FOR 18 TO 22 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. TURN OUT IMMEDIATELY ONTO SERVING PLATTER. SERVE HOT.
