    List of Ingredients


    • 1 PACKAGE PILLSBURY PLUS DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE MIX
    • 1 CUP FLAKED COCONUT, TOASTED
    • 1/2 CUP ROLLED OATS, TOASTED
    • 3/4 CUPS MELTED BUTTER OR MARGARINE
    • 2 TEASPOON VANILLA
    • 2 EGGS SLIGHTLY BEATEN
    • 4 ( 1 1/2 OUNCE EACH) MILK CHOCOLATE CANDY BARS
    • 1/2 CUP FLAKED COCONUT


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. IN A LARGE BOWL, COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT CANDY BARS AND 1/2 CUP COCONUT, BLENDING WELL. CHILL DOUGH FOR 15 MINUTES. FORM INTO 1" BALLS. PLACE 2" APART ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEETS.
    3. BAKE FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES OR UNTIL CRACKED AND SOFT TO THE TOUCH. IMMEDIATELY PLACE CHOCOLATE SQUARES ON TOP OF EACH COOKIE AND SPREAD TO FROST. SPRINKLE WITH COCONUT.
    4. 40 COOKIES
    5. TO TOAST COCONUT AND OATS, BAKE IN A PREHEATED 350° OVEN FOR 5 TO 7 MINUTES, STIRRING ONCE.
    6. FOR A CHEWIER COOKIES, OMIT TOASTING COCONUT AND OATS.
