    List of Ingredients


    • 1 CUP SUGAR
    • 1 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
    • 3 OUNCE PACKAGE CREAM CHEESE
    • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
    • 1/2 TEASPOON ALMOND FLAVORING
    • 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
    • 1 EGG YOLK
    • 2 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1 EGG WHITE
    • SUGAR FOR SPRINKLING


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°.
    2. BEAT SUGAR, SHORTENING, CREAM CHEESE, SALT AND FLAVORINGS UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. BEAT IN EGG YOLK. ADD FLOUR AND MIX TO COMBINE. CHILL DOUGH IN REFRIGERATOR.
    3. ROLL OUT ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD AND CUT INTO MOON SHAPES. PLACE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
    4. BRUSH LIGHTLY WITH BEATEN EGG WHITE. SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR AND BAKE FOR 7 TO 10 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND COOL.
