CREAM CHEESE MOON COOKIES
List of Ingredients
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 1 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
- 3 OUNCE PACKAGE CREAM CHEESE
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/2 TEASPOON ALMOND FLAVORING
- 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 1 EGG YOLK
- 2 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
- 1 EGG WHITE
- SUGAR FOR SPRINKLING
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 375°.
- BEAT SUGAR, SHORTENING, CREAM CHEESE, SALT AND FLAVORINGS UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. BEAT IN EGG YOLK. ADD FLOUR AND MIX TO COMBINE. CHILL DOUGH IN REFRIGERATOR.
- ROLL OUT ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD AND CUT INTO MOON SHAPES. PLACE ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
- BRUSH LIGHTLY WITH BEATEN EGG WHITE. SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR AND BAKE FOR 7 TO 10 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND COOL.
