DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
I LOVE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES, ESPECIALLY WHEN I ADD A LOT OF PECANS TO THEM.
List of Ingredients
- 1 1/2 CUPS SOFTENED BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 1 1/4 CUPS GRANULATED SUGAR
- 1 1/4 CUPS PACKED BROWN SUGAR
- 1 TABLESPOON VANILLA
- 2 EGGS
- 4 CUPS FLOUR
- 2 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 1 PACKAGE ( 24 OZ.) SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS ( 4 CUPS)
- 1 1/2 TO 2 CUPS CHOPPED PECANS ( OPTIONAL)
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
- MIX BUTTER, SUGARS, VANILLA AND EGGS IN A LARGE BOWL USING A WOODEN SPOON. STIR IN FLOUR, BAKING SODA AND SALT. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND PECANS, MIXING WELL.
- DROP DOUGH BY ROUNDED TABLESPOONFULL ABOUT 2" APART ONTO AN UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET.
- BAKE 12 TO 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWN. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND COOL SLIGHTLY. THEN REMOVE TO A WIRE RACK AND COOL COMPLETELY.
Final Comments
I LIKE MY COOKIES ON THE SOFTER SIDE, SO I UNDER BAKE THEM BY A COUPLE OF MINUTES ( APPROXIMATELY 8 TO 10 MINUTES). IF YOU PERFER A HARDER COOKIE THEN BAKE THEM 12 TO 15 MINUTES.
