    THIS TRIPLE CHOCOLATE DROP COOKIE IS ENHANCED BY ORANGE FLAVOR AND PECANS.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 SQUARES ( 1 OUNCE EACH) UNSWEETENED BAKING CHOCOLATE
    • 4 SQUARES ( 1 OUNCE EACH) SEMI-SWEET BAKING CHOCOLATE
    • 1/4 CUP SWEET BUTTER
    • 1/4 CUP FLOUR
    • 1/4 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
    • 1/8 TEASPOON SALT
    • 2 EGGS
    • 3/4 CUPS SUGAR
    • 1/2 TEASPOON GRATED ORANGE PEEL
    • 1 CUP SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
    • 1 CUP CHOPPED PECANS


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. MELT UNSWEETENED AND SEMI SWEET BAKING CHOCOLATE AND BUTTER IN A 1 QUART SAUCEPAN OVER LOW HEAT OR IN A DOUBLE BOILER, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY UNTIL MELTED AND SMOOTH. COOL SLIGHTLY.
    3. COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT IN A SMALL BOWL.
    4. PLACE EGGS IN A LARGER MIXING BOWL AND BEAT UNTIL THICK AND LEMON IN COLOR ABOUT 2 TO 3 MINUTES. GRADUALLY ADD SUGAR, MIXING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. STIR IN MELTED CHOCOLATE AND ORANGE PEEL.
    5. REDUCE SPEED TO LOW AND ADD FLOUR, BEATING UNTIL WELL MIXED APPROXIMATELY 2 TO 3 MINUTES. STIR IN CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND PECANS BY HAND.
    6. DROP DOUGH BY HEAPING TEASPOONFULS 2" APART ONTO A GREASED COOKIE SHEET. BAKE FOR 9 TO 11 MINUTES OR UNTIL SET. COOK 5 MINUTES AND REMOVE FROM COOKIE SHEET.
