PEANUT BUTTER MOUSSE PIE
THIS IS A DELICIOUS PEANUT BUTTER PIE. I HAVING BEEN MAKING IT FOR QUITE AWHILE. I FOUND THIS RECIPE IN A MAGAZINE, WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE THE CREDIT, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH ONE IT WAS.
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 CUP CHUNKY PEANUT BUTTER
- 3/4 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 ( 8 OUNCE ) NEUFCHATEL OR REGULAR CREAM CHEESE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
- 2 TABLESPOONS 1/2 N 1/2 OR REGULAR MILK
- 1 CUP OF HEAVY CREAM OR REGULAR COOL WHIP
- 1 CHOCOLATE PIE CRUST
Instructions
- IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL, BEAT PEANUT BUTTER, SUGAR, CREAM CHEESE AND MILK WITH MIXER ON MEDIUM UNTIL SMOOTH AND WELL BLENDED.
- IN ANOTHER MIXING BOWL, WHIP HEAVY CREAM UNTIL IT HOLDS SOFT PEAKS ( OR SAVE YOUSELF SOMETIME AND USE COOL WHIP, WHICH I HAVE). GENTLY FOLD WHIPPED CREAM OR COOL WHIP INTO THE PEANUT BUTTER MIXTURE.
- SPOON INTO PIE CRUST ( COVER WITH PLASTIC TOP WHICH COMES WITH THE CRUST). CHILL UNTIL FILLING IS SET, ABOUT 4 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.
Final Comments
WHEN READY TO SERVE, DECORATE WITH CHOCOLATE FUDGE ICE CREAM TOPPING OR WITH SHAVED CHOCOLATE.
