    CHEDDAR DILL SCONES


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1 CUP ( 4 OUNCES) SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE
    • 1/4 CUP FRESH CHOPPED PARSLEY
    • 1 TABLESPOON BAKING POWDER
    • 2 TEASPOONS DILL WEED
    • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
    • 3/4 CUP SWEET BUTTER
    • 2 LARGE EGGS SLIGHTLY BEATEN
    • 1/2 CUP 1/2 & 1/2


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 400°.
    2. IN A LARGE BOWL, COMBINE THE FLOUR, CHEESE, PARSLEY, BAKING POWDER, DILL AND SALT. CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL CRUMBLY. STIR IN EGGS, HALF AND HALF, JUST UNTIL MIXTURE IS MOISTENED.
    3. TURN DOUGH ONTO A LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE AND KNEAD UNTIL SMOOTH, APPROXIMATELY 1 MINUTE.
    4. DIVIDE DOUGH IN HALF, ROLL EACH HALF INTO AN 8" CIRCLE. CUT EACH CIRCLE INTO 8 WEDGES. PLACE 1" APART ON A COOKIE SHEET. BAKE FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES ORUNTIL PUFFED AND LIGHTLY BROWNED.
    5. 16 SCONES
