TRIPLE LAYER COOKIE BARS
List of Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 1 1/4 CUPS FLOUR
- 2/3 CUPS SUGAR
- 1/3 CUPS BAKING COCOA
- 1/4 CUP PACKED BROWN SUGAR
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
- 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/2 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 2 EGGS, LIGHTLY BEATEN

- TOPPING:
- 7 OUNCE PACKAGE FLAKED COCONUT
- 14 OUNCE CAN SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK
- 2 CUPS SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS ( 12 OUNCES)
- 1/2 CUP CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. GREASE A 13 X 9" BAKING PAN. SET ASIDE.
- IN A MIXING BOWL, COMBINE THE FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING COCOA, BROWN SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT. CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL CRUMBLY, ADD EGG MIXING WELL. SPREAD IN PREPARED BAKING PAN AND BAKE FOR 8 MINUTES.
- SPRINKLE COCONUT ON TOP, DRIZZLE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK EVENLY OVER COCONUT. RETURN TO OVEN AND BAKE FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTE OR UNTIL LLIGHTLY BROWNED.
- IN A SAUCE PAN OVER LOW HEAT MELT CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND PEANUT BUTTER, STIRRING UNTIL SMOOTH. SPREAD ON BARS. COOL BEFORE CUTTING.
- 2 TO 3 DOZEN.
