    MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

    This is by far the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies I've made. I got the recipe off of a crisco can, so I cannot take credit for it. But trust me, they are scrumptious!


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup butter flavor crisco
    • 1-1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    • 2 tblsp milk
    • 1 tblsp vanilla
    • 1 egg
    • 1-3/4 cups flour
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 3/4 tsp baking soda
    • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
    • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans(optional)


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 375*. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies.
    2. Combine crisco, sugar, mile and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
    3. Combine flour, salt and soda. Mix into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
    4. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    5. Bake for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11-13 minutes for crisp cookies. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
    6. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely.


    Final Comments


    This makes about 3 dozen.
