    POOR MAN'S DONUTS

I've been making these for years. Most people won't ever guess they are sooooooooo easy to make.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 can cheap biscuts (size depending on how many you want)***do not use the grand size biscuts or ones flavored with butter--The cheapies work best!
    • some fresh oil or crisco for frying
    • either: cinnamon & sugar or powdered sugar

    Instructions

    1. In a skillet heat oil. (you will need about 1/2 inch in the skillet.
    2. Flatten biscuts--just slightly.
    3. Place about 5 biscuts in the pan. Cook until golden brown on each side--About 1 minute on each side.
    4. Remove and place on plate with paper towels to drain excess oil. Then cook the rest of the biscuts.
    5. Sprinkle with either cinnamon & sugar or powdered sugar.

    Final Comments

They are really good. Just be careful to keep the fire low so they cook in the middle. You could cut out the middle of the biscut if you wish to make them look more like donuts.
