    GOOD OLE' OVEN STEW

This is one of Tim's favorite meals in the winter time. It tastes great and is very easy to make. Just put everything into an oven safe pan and forget about it for a couple of hours!

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 well cleaned rabbit OR venison roast OR venison stew meat
    • 2 pkgs. stew seasoning mix
    • About 3 cups chopped potatoes
    • About 2 cups chopped carrots
    • 1 large onion chopped
    • salt & pepper

    Instructions

    1. Place meat, potatoes, carrots & onion in a large oven-safe casserole dish or dutch oven.
    2. Sprinkle with stew seasoning & salt & pepper.
    3. Add water to cover.
    4. Cover tightly with lid or foil.
    5. Bake at 300* for about 2-3 hours or until meat is done and potatoes are tender.

    Final Comments

You can use this recipe with beef as well. And like I said, pop it in the oven & forget about it. By the time hubby gets home from work, the house smells great and it appears as if you've been cooking hard all day just for him!
