    Like the movie with the same name, these are a great addition to us Southerners.

    List of Ingredients




    6 large firm green tomatoes, cut into ¼ inch slices
    1 cup cornmeal
    Salt and pepper to taste
    Vegetable oil

    Recipe



    Heat oil in large skillet. Dredge tomatoes in cornmeal. Season with salt & pepper. Add tomatoes and fry over medium heat until browned. Turn once.
