    Deep Fried Wonton

    List of Ingredients


    • Wonton Wrapper:
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 cup water
    • Wonton Filling:
    • 1 lb. finely ground pork/shrimp
    • 2 tbsp. fine chopped scallions
    • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 2 tbsp. oil


    Instructions


    1. Thoroughly mix all ingedients for Wonton Wrappers together.

    2. Place dough on floured board.

    3. Knead until smooth and firm.

    4. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes.

    5. Roll out on board with a rolling pin until almost paper thin.

    6. Cut in 3 inch squares.

    7. Mix together all ingredients for Wonton Filling.

    8. Beat one egg well and set aside.

    9. Place Wonton Wrapper with corner toward yourself and put 3/4 tsp. of filling on center.

    10. Brush edges of Wonton Wrapper with the beaten egg.

    11. Fold wrapper diagonally and press edges tightly with knife or fork.



    Final Comments


    Deep fry in hot oil.
