    Chicken with Sour Cream Gravy

    From a friend, but I revised it and added more to it....

    List of Ingredients





    12 chicken breasts
    2/3 c. flour
    3/4 c. butter
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 1/2 c. diced onion
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/4 c. beef base in 1 c. hot water
    2 tsp. onion powder
    2 c. sour cream
    1 can artichoke hearts (not marinated, although those do taste good also in this recipe)
    Coat chicken with flour; melt butter in shallow pan and arrange chicken, skin side down. Arrange the sliced onions and celery in between each breast so they can also sautee while the chicken is cooking. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven; turn chicken. Combine rest of ingredients except for the artichoke hearts; pour over chicken. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. Open the can of artichoke hearts and drain. Mix into the gravy of the chicken in the oven and cook an additional 10-15 minutes. Serves 12.
