    I've tried many different recipes for tartar sauce and finally came up with the following. If I happen to have a jar of Sweet Hot Dill Pickles handy I like to use them in this recipe. Otherwise I almost always use Vlasic Pickle Relish.



    1 cup mayonnaise
    1/4 cup finely chopped dill pickles or sweet pickle relish
    1 hard boiled egg
    2 tablespoons chopped green onions or red onions
    1 tablespoon drained capers
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
    2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
    1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon (optional)
    1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce (optional)
    1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

    Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse to combine.
    Taste, add more mayo if desired.
    Chill.

    NOTE: If I am having coleslaw for the same dinner I like to add about 2 big spoonsfuls to my tatar sauce. I caught on to this trick at a restaurant where I loved their tartar sauce.
