    Pecan Pie


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup dark corn syrup
    • 3 eggs
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 1/2 cup teaspoons vanilla
    • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped or vanilla ice cream


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 325.
    2. In saucepan combine sugar, salt and corn syrup.
    3. Simmer until sugar dissolves.
    4. Meanwhile, beat eggs foamy.
    5. Stir butter,vanilla and pecan into syrup.
    6. Add eggs: turn into pie shell.
    7. Bake 40 mins.; cook; refrigerate.
    8. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
