    ENGLISH TOFFEE COOKIES


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 egg yolk for batter
    • 1 egg white for top
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 cup nuts, optional
    • 1 tsp. vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Mix everything together except the egg white and spread in a cookie sheet.
    2. Press down.
    3. Spread egg white all over the top.
    4. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top and press down a little.
    5. Bake 300° F for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    6. Cut into bars or squares immediately.
