List of Ingredients
1 cup dandelion flowers and buds, washed and dried
1 egg
1/2 cup cf milk sub
1 cup chickpea or navy bean flour
2 tsp gf baking powder
1/2 tsp Sea salt
1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
Vegetable oil for frying
Recipe
Beat egg and milk sub together in a small bowl.
In a medium size bowl mix the chickpea flour, baking powder, salt and pepper thoroughly.
Add the milk mixture and stir to make a smooth batter.
Dip the flowers into the batter, then fry in hot oil until golden.
Drain, pat dry and serve – these are a great addition to garden salads or they make a novel appetizer.
Try serving them with honeyed mustard!
