    Original recipe from Kellogg's Canada
    adapted to GFCF by BL Olson

    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup cf, sf margarine
    1 pkg 250 g gf marshmallows (about 40) or 5 cups miniature
    5 cups GF Crispy Rice Cereal
    1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
    1/2 cup peanuts, coarsely chopped (also good with mixed nuts, almonds or cashews)
    1/2 cup maraschino cherries, well-drained and chopped (if you are sensitive to alcohol, try another dried fruit)

    Recipe



    In large saucepan over low heat, melt margarine.

    Add marshmallows; stir until melted and well blended.

    Remove from heat.

    Gradually mix in cereal, coconut, peanuts and cherries, stirring until thoroughly coated.

    Press firmly and evenly into buttered 2 L ( 9" ) square pan.

    Chill until set, about 30 minutes.

    Cut into bite-sized pieces.

    Best stored in refrigerator, tightly covered. Maybe frozen and
    enjoyed straight from the freezer.
