1/2 cup brown rice syrup (or honey, will be sweeter)
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup almond butter (or chopped almonds)
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup ground flax
1/4 cup sesame seeds, optional
3 cups brown rice crispies (be sure to check gf status)
Recipe
Heat syrup and nut butters over medium heat until soft and smooth. Stir in
nuts and seeds. Stir in rice cereal and press into a prepared 9 x 9 pan. Cut
into 12 and chill.
I noticed that she doesn't address the issue of the canola, but we
heated it with the syrup and nut butters. Any good edible oil will
work, it's just to make the nut butter more spreadable as some of them
can be pretty dry.
