List of Ingredients
3 cups dried navy beans (AKA haricot beans)
10 cups water
1 cup tomato sauce**
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup molasses (treacle)
1 Tbsp (3 tsp) lemon juice
2 tsp salt, or less
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Recipe
Pressure cook beans in water for 10 hour and 15 minutes. Stir in remaining
ingredients. Cook uncovered in crockpot for 8 hours on high setting, or bake
uncovered in oven at 300F (150C) for 6 hours, or at 350F (175C) for 3 hours.
(The slower the better!).
