Savory Herb Coconut Oil Biscuits

2 cups all-purpose gf flour
1 Tbls gf baking powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp fine sea salt
1/2 cup solid refined coconut oil
3/4 cup canned light coconut milk
3 tbls chopped fresh herbs such as chives, cilantro or parsley
1/4 tsp ground black pepper Recipe
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Stir herbs and ground black pepper into the flour mixture
Cut in coconut oil with a pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in coconut milk just until a dough forms.
Pat together and flatten on a lightly floured work surface to a rectangle about 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into 12 squares and arrange on the prepared baking sheet, about 1 1/2 inches apart.
Bake until golden brown, 15 to 17 minutes.
Cool slightly before serving.
Donna's Note: For a less crumbly biscuit add 1 egg and reduce coconut milk by 2 Tbls.
