    Find sourdough starters in the MYO section.

    List of Ingredients




    * 1 1/2 cups sourdough starter
    * 3/4 cup milk
    * 2 1/2 Tbls GF margarine
    * 2 2/3 Tbls sugar
    * 1 1/3 tbls. Salt
    * 4 cups GF flour
    * 2 1/2 tsp yeast

    Recipe



    Combine all ingredients except the flour and mix thoroughly. Add in the flour a little at a time until you cannot stir with a spoon anymore. Add in some more flour and mix with your hands. Continue adding the remainder of the flour until you have a nice cohesive ball.

    Smooth some oil over the top of the ball, cover and set to rise in a warmed oven (with the heat off) and allow to rise for 45 minutes. Shape in a loaf and bake tented for 30 minutes. Remove tenting and bake until the crust is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

    Note from BL: If you prefer you can shape free-hand into a longer smaller French or Italian style loaf. I haven't done this with this recipe so I am not sure of baking times.
