    Recipe Introduction

Original recipe by Thom King of Stevia.com
modified for GF by BL Olson

    List of Ingredients

1 and 1/2 cups GF oats or other flaked grain (quinoa or buckwheat)
3 cups of hemp, almond or rice milk
    1 tablespoons of molasses
    tiny dash of Stevia Powder
1 and 1/2 tablespoons CF margarine
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 and 1/2 cups finely chopped apples
    3/4 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, pecans, hemp hearts, pignoli (pine
    nuts), pumpkin or sunflower seeds

    Recipe

Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.

Coat square pan (9 inch) with nonstick spray.

In a large saucepan, bring the milk, molasses, stevia, margarine, and cinnamon to a boil.

While the milk mixture is warming, in a large mixing bowl, mix together the oats, chopped apple, cranberries, and nuts or seeds; spread evenly into the prepared pan.

When the milk mixture begins to boil, pour out evenly over the oatmeal mixture.

Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes, or until the liquid has been absorbed and the oatmeal is tender.

Cut the mixture into 6 servings, scooping each out into a cereal bowl.

Garnish with a sliced apple or hemp hearts (if desired).
