List of Ingredients
1/3 C Shortning
1 C Sugar
2 Tbs Apple sauce
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 C Rice flour blend**
1 tsp xanthan
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp Salt
2/3 hot water
1/2 tsp Cidar vinegar
** Rice flour blend:
6 C Rice flour, 2 C Potato Starch, 1 C Tapioca Flour. Blend well and store for
future uses.( you can easily half that amount.)
Frosting
1/2 C Margering ( melted )
1/2 C Baking Cocoa
2 tsp Vanilla
3 C Powdered Sugar
1/4 C Water
Recipe
1) Cream Shortning and Sugar. Beat in Apple sauce and vanilla. Combing Flour, xanthan, Cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt in a seperate bowl. Add to creamed
mixure. Mix well and add hot water Quickly.
2) Pour into greased and rice floured 9" round or cupcake pan. Bake at 350 for 35 min.
Frosting Directions
1) Mix melted margerine and cocoa powder. Add vanilla. Beat in Powdered Sugar.
2) Add water to Desired spreading consistancy. Mix well.
