    2 pounds butternut or buttercup squash
    1 tablespoon GF flour
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup cf margerine
    1/2 teaspoon ground mace (or nutmeg)
    2 large baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices

    Recipe



    Cut squash in half.

    Remove seeds and fibers.

    Pare.

    Cut into 1/2 inch slices.

    Mix together the flour, brown sugar, salt, margerine and mace.

    Arrange squash in ungreased 7 1/2 x 2 x 12 inch oblong baking dish.

    Arrange apple slices over the squash.

    Drizzle sugar mixture over the apples.

    (Optional: lightly sprinkle with cinnamon.)

    Cover and bake in 350 degree oven 50-60 minutes until squash is tender.

    Serves 6
